It’s been nine months to the day since Ryan’s incident occurred. Do you remember? Has your life been changed somehow? Are you closer to God? Or, have you gone back to who you were prior to this event?

We’ve all been in situations (camp, youth rallies, concerts, mission trips, etc.) when, or after which, we claim that we will follow God’s calling, only to find ourselves a few months later (and sometimes not even that long) fallen back into our normal routines, our old habits, our old ways. This is simply human nature…

We must renew (recommit) ourselves moment by moment, day by day, week after week…and so on. As we do this, we will truly come to know God and be changed.

John 15:4  R emain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

I know that God holds me in His hands, and that He’ll never let me go. My prayer is that I will never forget this…and never take it for granted…
