What a nice day today. Since Jacob’s last day of school was yesterday, we got to sleep in a wee bit this morning. It’s glorious what a few extra minutes’ sleep can do for this old body. Too bad it really doesn’t do anything for my looks, however. Some friends who we haven’t seen in quite some time stopped by to visit us and Ryan. Thank you Don, Amy, Blake & Shane for blessing us with your visit, and for the wonderful gift you brought Ryan. No gift has been more thoughtful, fitting and beautiful. It was nice seeing you all again. I just hope it isn’t that long before we see you again.

All in all, Ryan is doing well, considering. He and I enjoyed the basketball game tonight, and some music earlier on.

Ryan has a new PM shift nurse starting tonight. Fortunately, she’s coming early so we can train her on Ryan’s care. Hopefully, she’ll learn quickly so I can (again) get some much needed sleep. I’d better hang up now, so I can prepare for her arrival.
